What Is a Potli Bag?

A potli bag is a traditional Indian drawstring pouch — rounded at the base and gathered at the top with a cord. Worn with lehengas, sarees and salwar suits, potlis are the go-to accessory for weddings, mehndi, sangeet, navratri and festive occasions, and are widely used as Indian wedding return gifts.
